These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StackBuilt ("we," "us," "our") at stackbuilt.org. By creating an account or accessing any content, you agree to these Terms.
You must be 13 or older to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account with others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
All course materials — text, code, videos, and assets — are owned by StackBuilt and licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
Your license to access paid content is permanent upon one-time purchase, provided your account remains in good standing. The Homelab Pass subscription grants community access only — course content requires a one-time pack purchase and does not expire.
Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time from your account settings — access continues until the end of your current billing period. One-time pack purchases are non-refundable. All course content is accessible immediately upon purchase, so please review the free chapters and curriculum before buying. If you have a billing error or technical issue preventing access, contact us and we'll make it right.
The free foundation chapters are available indefinitely with no credit card required. We reserve the right to adjust which chapters are free at any time, though existing free users will receive reasonable notice of any changes.
StackBuilt teaches how to self-host software for personal use. You agree to:
We teach techniques for legal purposes only. We are not responsible for how you apply the knowledge gained from this course.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update content, or temporarily limit access. We will provide advance notice of extended downtime where possible.
We may add, update, or remove course content at any time to maintain quality and accuracy. One-time pack purchasers receive all future updates to their purchased packs at no extra charge. Homelab Pass subscribers receive Discord community access and the config library for the duration of their subscription.
StackBuilt is provided "as is." We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform or from applying information learned in the course. Any decisions you make based on course content — including hardware purchases, server configurations, or software deployments — are your sole responsibility.
We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Upon termination, your access to paid content ends immediately.
We may update these Terms. We'll notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
